We had a lot of fun over the weekend! Rocked Mitzi’s Sister Friday night with our friends in MILKRUN. MILKRUN are a fun rocknroll band and if you live in Toronto I suggest you check em out. Saturday we Made a run for Sarnia. None of us had ever been before and we had a nice drive in. This party was a set up for the prez of our Atlantic Fan Club, Jo Schieck. Jo and five others were celebrating milestone birthdays. Alexa, the host of the five day extravaganza hired us to come and perform for the saturday night. Mike Trask made an appearance on the Friday making it, what I believe, is the first house festival we’ve ever been to. They refer to the house we stayed at as the SCHIECK SPA AND RESORT. Man, let me tell you, these cats can get down. They were three days into their party when we got there and they were finely tuned! There was a full on string band on the deck most of the day and night! Too Cool! What a family of talented folks! We normally keep track of exciting dates on tour and it makes us nervous that we’re only three dates into the tour and we’ve already got a hard contender for most fun/ridiculous show of the tour! While we were relaxing in the daytime we took a stroll to the lake around the corner. check it out!
I wish my video of the late night string band performance turned out but it didn’t so I can only say, you missed a time!!!!
Last night we performed at the acoustic grill in Picton to a small but very appreciative crowd. We rocked the grill hard and then were off to hang with Uncle Pat in Trenton. After breakky we hit the road for Toronto. We made a brief pit stop at Universal Canada building to grab a few copies of Early Grave for us to sell while we’re out. then it was right into sister Krissy’s house to hang for a few days off. Ma and Brother Scott Neilsen are in town for some hanging so it’s a full on family reunion here. Check it –
