Hi folks,
Been an awful long time since i posted on here…so i guess i’d better. I got home Sunday from a monster, 102 day tour. We went coast to coast in the longest tour we’ve done yet. It was a typical Canadian good time. I’m just now kind of mentally reviewing the tour and wanted to send a huge thanks out to the following folks: John Crowley, Jo and Manfred Khoeler, Andrew Merrithew, Dee and Arthur Gans, Krissy and Doug, Kris and Dan Whittaker, Grant and Carol Copeland, Jerry in Wawa, Uncle Pat and Aunt Denise, Sean Donaldson, Phil, Chuckie and Catfish in Calgary and I know I’m almost certainly forgetting someone! Anyhow, to these wonderful folks: THANK YOU! We literally could not do this kind of stuff without your help and generosity. Y’all gave us space to sleep/food to eat/and recharged our batteries. Very grateful to you and again, couldn’t do it without you. BIG LOVE!
Now that I’m home I’m gearing up for the next few weeks here in the Maritimes. We play PEI at the Tracadie Community Hall this Saturday at 8pm. Tickets are $10 an available HERE.
Next week is the best time of the year…Harvest Jazz and Blues Fest kicks off! You can see me live Thursday night at the Mojo tent in the Maritime Monster Jam, Friday opening the Mojo Tent for our pals Monkey Junk and Saturday night, you can check us out headlining the Hoodoo with our Blues By Invitation Show. This show has got me all excited! We’re going to have Hook Herrera, Bruce Katz, Alvin Youngblood Hart and Ron Hollaway come sit in with us. These guys are all heavy hitters and heroes to us so we’re honoured and excited to tear it up with them. you can visit www.harvestjazzandblues.com to get all your Harvest info!
Thursday September 19th we’re taking part in a 100th anniversary celebration of the Imperial Theatre in Saint John. We get to do a couple tunes that evening. I’m looking forward to being back on stage at one of the most stunning theatres in the east! After this show we have a bit of down time to collect ourselves and then the first week in October we’ll get Fall going with a weekend in Saint Andrews at the Red Herring Pub. The week after we’ll set out across Canada for another quick National tour that will have us home by December 1st. The Dates for the National tour should be posted by the first of next week. Stay tuned!
Hope to see you soon at a show. Make sure you c’mon over and say “Hey”! Till then,
Ross
